INTERN STORY

"During my summer internship, I worked on the CloudFix Project. My team's goal was to add as many anti-pattern finders and fixers as possible. Our work also involved multiple platform improvements, including Cloud Resource Backup Mechanism. We covered anti-patterns for various cloud resources like EC2, SageMaker, RDS, ElastiCache, etc. All the finders and fixers were written in Python and used Boto3 API to communicate with AWS.
My mentor at Trilogy Innovations taught me to take decisions with business in mind and implement long term solutions. We gave a daily briefing on our progress to him, this made sure we don't get stuck on trivial issues for long. Everyone was very helpful and motivated me to give my best. The work was challenging and kept me hooked throughout my internship."

INTERN STORY

“Our project during the summer internship was to use Microsoft Kinect to enhance the customer experience in a retail shop. My partner and I were in charge of a shelf and content mapping. We were asked to create a user interface for a store manager by designing a 2 dimensional layout of all the shelves in the store. I created the UI using Bootstrap and AngularJS for the store manager to enter new products with the specifications.
My time spent at jTU was highly productive. I got the opportunity to explore and learn new technologies. It helped me gain knowledge about the entire software life cycle from designing software, developing software to deploying it. The SDEs were extremely helpful and patiently cleared all our doubts. An added bonus, we had outings every week to any place of our choice.”

INTERN STORY

My project was to build upon the ML Factory internal tool. ML Factory enables Trilogy Innovations to churn out high-quality ML insights and at the same time automates many stages to expedite the process.
I was given time to understand the product and underlying technologies. Sessions with my mentor and teammates helped me grasp the product not only at a technical level but also from the customer requirement perspective. We discussed various features that could benefit the product and demarcated the features we wanted to implement in the 2-month intern.
I was able to refactor the existing codebase to allow easier integration of new ML Pipelines. I added support for Multiclass Classification, Logistic Regression and AutoML tasks. Before integrating the AutoML pipeline, I also performed a comparative study between top AutoML technologies using multiple real datasets at Trilogy Innovations.
Trilogy Innovations taught me to take up responsibility, come up with solutions and communicate them effectively. The discussions I had with my teammates were undoubtedly the best part of the intern, with the amazing goodies coming at a close second.

INTERN STORY

"The best part of my project here was that we were given the liberty to come up with the idea for the project, with the restriction that it should be cool enough to interest ourselves over two months. The project we decided upon was based on gesture detection using kinect devices. We used the devices to develop systems that could gamify the shopping experience of customers at malls. Our project was lead by Rahul, who is also the CEO, and mentored by tech leads of the company.
During two months of the internship, we went on several outings, including dirt-biking, resorts, bowling, and movies. The best time we had was on Fridays during the Demo-meetings, where we were supposed to give a brief about our progress. Our product broke down many times, but my mentor was supportive and his feedback ensured we were always moving forward in the project. Along with technical knowledge, he also taught me and my team-mate a couple of industry lingos, which were super-cool to hear from him. Everyone was very knowledgable and super-friendly, and this made it an awesome learning and fun experience."
